Join the Lake in the Hills Police Department for its annual National Night Out
Community Cookout! The event will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
just outside Police Headquarters, 2600 Village Hall Drive. Please park at Village Hall.
This free family event promotes community unity against crime and features food,
fun and a variety of activities for all ages.
Watch the LifeNet helicopter land and take off, and meet the flight crew (upon
availability).
See a live K-9 demonstration presented by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.
Visit with the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District and Algonquin
Area Public Library.
Meet our very own Parks and Recreation team and enjoy all the fun activities that
Rec2U brings.
Talk to the many community partners and services that will be in attendance with
engaging activities.
See and touch police, fire, SWAT and Incident Command vehicles along with
plows and big trucks.
Try on a pair of DUI fatal vision impairment goggles.
Chat with police traffic units, recruiters, 911 operators and crime scene
technicians.
Learn about programs and resources the police department offers. Free hotdogs,
chips and pop will be provided! Follow the Police Department on social media for
event updates.
