Do you know someone with a disability
who would like to go out, have fun, and
make friends?
The Village of Lake in the Hills Parks & Recreation
Department is one of 13 members of the Northern Illinois
Special Recreation Association (NISRA), which provides
recreation programs for children, teens, and adults with
disabilities. NISRA offers Special Olympics, cultural arts,
baking/cooking, outdoor, social, and wellness programs
along with camps, special events and trips that offer
enjoyment for all ability levels. View brochures online or
call NISRA at (815) 459-0737 to have one mailed to you.
The NISRA Foundation was created in 1991 to
preserve the future funding and quality of NISRA
programs and services. Since its inception, the
Foundation has made annual grants to NISRA from
annual giving, fundraisers, and sponsorship. Help
enrich the lives of people with disabilities through
meaningful recreation experiences and give the gift of
fun by donating today. To donate, volunteer, and learn
more about our events, contact: Laura Cullotta at
lcullotta@nisra.org or (815) 459-0737.
