Parks and Facilities Listing
Lake in the Hills is home to 34 parks. The smallest is Kennedy Triangle at .13 of an acre and the largest is Sunset
Park Sports Complex at 125 acres. Our largest natural resource is the 240-acre Fen at Barbara Key Park. Our
parks also include over 5 miles of off-street bike paths.

Bike Path Distances
Barbara Key Park:
The loop around the pond: 0.43 mile
Leroy Guy Park Bike Path:
From parking lot to parking lot: 0.25 mile
Ken Carpenter Park:
Bike Path south to Heaven’s Gate and Harvest Gate: 0.95 mile
Miller Road Bike Path:
From Randall Road to the end: 4.10 miles
From Randall Road to Frank Road: (mostly concrete sidewalk): 1.26 miles
From Frank Road to Lakewood Road: 1.16 miles
From Lakewood Road to Haligus Road: 0.94 mile
From Haligus Road to the end of Miller Road: 0.74 mile
Frank Road Bike Path:
From Miller Road to Algonquin Road: 0.98 mile

Disc Golf Course
Skate Parks
Splash Pad
The Lake in the Hills Disc Golf
Course provides nine challenging
holes of disc golf that bring
guaranteed fun for all ages! The
course is located at Linda K. Fischer
Park (5962 Grafton Farm Drive).

The Village operates two skate
parks, Richard Taylor Skate Park
located at 1107 Crystal Lake Rd.
and Sunset Skate Park on the
corner of Miller and Haligus Rd.
Skate parks are open from
9:00am to dusk daily.
The Splash Pad is located at
Sunset Park (5200 Miller Road)
and has a shelter, two picnic
tables, and porta-john. Hours
of operation are 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
from Memorial Day through
Labor Day.
